Time of transfer (tot) inspections

In Iowa, it is required to have an inspection called a ToT for any home, building or property containing a septic system prior to sale or deed transfer. Septic companies are not required to be ToT licensed but this is just one of the many benefits of using Siouxland Well Company for your septic needs. A ToT Inspection lasts 2 years and must be completed prior to deed transfer or sale. The inspection must be completed with enough time for the county sanitarian to review the application and determine if there are any repairs necessary. At the time of inspection, the septic tank will be completely pumped of its contents, and the condition of the tank and its contents will be documented. The ToT inspection process may take up to three weeks to be completed.
